Information for Parents

Reports - Full reports are sent home at each half-term and end of term. They include written comments and recent test scores.

Parents' Evenings - Two Parents' Evenings are held, in November and March. These are serious occasions on which your child's progress can be discussed in depth with the subject teachers and Principals, but also enjoyable social events (with food and drinks provided) when you can get to know both teachers and other parents.

Home/College Liaison - Please feel free to telephone the Principals at any time to talk about your child: whether for a specific reason, or just to 'touch base'. If a student is absent because of sickness, we expect the parent to telephone immediately to inform the College; if we do not hear anything, our Secretary will ring you.

Student Counselling - Each student is assigned a Personal Tutor who is responsible for their general well-being, academic development and UCAS application.

Special Needs - Because we have almost a 'family' atmosphere, individuals with particular problems usually feel comfortable here. The other students are loyal and supportive. In the past, young people with, for example, a history of eating disorder, mild dyslexia or school phobia have settled happily at Campbell Harris.

Accommodation - We can arrange homes for overseas students with English families, help to find places in hostels or liaise with flat-letting agencies.
