University of London External Programme

As from September 2005 we will be offering an opportunity to study for the University of London degree programmes for External students in Economics , Economics and Management , Management, or Politics with International Relations . The London School of Economics is responsible for the academic direction of these degrees.

Campbell Harris's entry requirements for the programme are:

GCSE/IGCSE English Language (C or above) or ITELS 6.5 or equivalent
GCSE/IGCSE Maths or equivalent unless Maths is offered at A Level
Two or three A-Levels or equivalent .

You will have to apply to and register with the University of London and we will help you with this process. Registration with the University costs approximately £520 plus examination fees of £536. The second and third years will cost around £230 continuing registration fee and £536 examination fees (at 2005-6 prices). These fees are payable directly to The University of London.

The course consists of 12 units taken over three years, some of which are compulsory and some optional units. For BSc Economics & Management a typical combination for the first year would be would be:

Introduction to Economics
Statistics 1 and Mathematics 1 (each half a unit)
Principles of Accounting
Introduction to Business and Management
(Additional English language support as necessary)

A dedicated library of materials and books is on site. There is full Internet access.

The courses will run between 10am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.

Annual tuition fees:

Non EU nationals: £12,000 (exclusive University of London fees) plus a registration fee of £150. A £3,000 deposit (refundable against your final term's fee) is payable on confirmation of acceptance of your application by the University of London . The balance of the fee is payable termly, three weeks in advance of each term. Some fees reduction are available.

UK/EU nationals: £5,000 (exclusive University of London fees) plus a registration fee of £150.

Diplomas for Graduates and Access courses are also available.
